A science one that seemed good in the reviews. Each was a reasonable choice on its own. Together they add up to a quiet, ongoing tax on your attention.

Every app aimed at children has to be checked: does it have ads, in-app purchases, streak pressure, sensible privacy? You do that diligence once per app. Five apps is five times the surface area, and the weakest one sets the tone. One app is calm and respectful. The next ambushes your child with a cartoon character begging them not to leave. Switching between them is jarring, and a child cannot tell which design choices are good for them and which are designed against them.

The most valuable thing a child can learn is not a fact in one subject. It is a way of thinking that carries across all of them: break a problem down, spot the pattern, try, fail, adjust. There is a real reason most products pick one subject: doing several well is hard. A connected platform only beats five focused apps if it is genuinely good in each domain, not a thin sampler. A shallow all-in-one is worse than one excellent single-subject tool.
So we are deliberate about it. We build one domain at a time, to depth, before adding the next, rather than shipping a wide-but-empty galaxy. Coding came first. Math and engineering followed. Each Station has to earn its place.
How Loopz is built
Loopz is one connected galaxy for ages four to ten. A child travels with the same guide, Oli, between Stations: coding on the planet trail, math in Number Nebula, engineering in Maker Dock, and art and observation woven through.
